Finding Peace in Peru
Where do you go to hear complete silence and feel complete peace?
If you ever want to feel like you could do anything, go to Cusco, Peru. This place changed me. One of the things I do is keep a little journal next to my bed when I travel. This one was well needed. There really is just to much to tell you. I will try to break it down into little posts and add on while I can. I get to design for a living, and the best part? I get to go where many won't ever go and find amazing people who many will never meet. This time around I got to go to Pampa. up in the mountains. Let me tell you...it's so high up in the air, the elevation of over 15,000 feet. Where no tourist go, the windy roads lathered with Llama's and huts. This place is a sight to see. The Artisans dress and live like they have for 100s of years. They grow potatos and live off the land. I went into the mountians to work with the Andes foundation, and help build a school for these children out here. The founder of Andes foundation is one of the most beautiful, strong, and smart women I have ever met. She gave me some of the best advice I have ever received. She has been helping these schools out here for years. So with my Company I design for I went out there with her to see how we could combine our missions of products and doing good and helping these kids. So August 2017, we did just that. We were able to raise money with the efforts of Debbie Goodson, and the design of my Do Good Box and build a school up in these mountians. I will forever be changed by the people I met. The new found alone time I got to have as I traveled alone, through Peru one day to see the ruins. These people showed me their homes, their culture, and I felt blessed and honered to be where I was standing, up high in the most green sight of mountians I have ever seen. Here are some more inspired pics.
